Security and Durability
Natralock® tear-resistant paperboard is sealed with a thermoform blister or bubble, protects your product from damage, and provides maximum security on the retail shelf.

Visibility
Natralock packaging allows consuemrs a crystal-clear view of the product. Its two sided paperboard provides generous glare-free space for special printing effects and bold graphics that help your brand get noticed.

Easy and Safe to Open
Natralock packaging is safe and easy for consumers to open with a simple pair of household scissors. Unlike plastic, when the paperboard is cut, it leaves a safe, smooth edge.

Sustainability
Natralock is a more sustainable packaging solution designed to maximize materials and minimize waste. Made primarily with recycled paperboard that can contain up to 30 percent recycled fiber, it requires less energy to manufacture and uses less plastic than traditional plastic clamshell packaging.

Production Savings
Natralock packaging seals up to 40 to 60 percent faster on average than traditional plastic clamshell packaging. Manufacturers can produce it on most standard clamshell packaging lines with minimal retrofitting. Plus, its lighter weight can help reduce transportation costs.

Natralock packaging is available in three different tear-resistant paperboard grades — giving customers and brand owners greater flexibility around their desired level of product security and brand protection.

Product Options

Natralock® ETR
Natralock ETR paperboard is engineered for applications requiring the Elmendorf tear test specification. The tear strength of the paperboard remains constant even after a tear has been initiated.

Natralock® GTR
Natralock GTR paperboard is designed for items required to meet specifications established by the Graves tear test method. The paperboard is extremely difficult to tear without first initiating a nick with a sharp object or scissors, and uses a special construction for a better consumer experience.

Natralock® NTR
The Natralock NTR paperboard grade offers the substrate’s inherent tear properties, and features MWV Easy Seal® technology, providing the most economical solution for minimum security packaging applications.

Natralock Folding Carton – Coming Soon
This folding carton option displays vivid graphics in the same fashion as a standard folding carton, but also offers the theft resistance and security of traditional clamshell packaging.

Natralock Scream Pak – Coming Soon
The ultra-secure Scream Pak uses a conductive ink trace circuit to trigger a connected audible electronic alarm when a package is opened before checkout. Because these features are hidden, high-impact graphics are not compromised.
